Raji Won State Geography Bee, Went To Nationals
"According to Raji, she prepared for battle by reading newspapers. "I'm always open to new facts, " she said. She also used a book, How to Prepare for the Geography Bee, and a series called, Geography Baseball. "You know," she explains how the books works, "if you answer a hard question it's like hitting a home run. It makes it like a game."

National Geographic Bee 2006
"Neeraj Sirdeshmukh, 14, from Nashua, N.H., came in second. He won a $15,000 college scholarship. Third-place contestant, Yeshwanth Kandimalla, 13, of Marietta, Ga., won a $10,000 college scholarship. The other seven finalist won $500 each."
